You know the sound. We've all heard it many times. Sweet and angry. Mysterious and powerful. Warm and wonderful.

Blue3 recreates the glorious sound of vintage tonewheel organs with amazing attention to detail. Every component of these wonderful instruments has been captured with all their quirks and imperfections.

Features:

Tonewheels, baby - A real B3 (or C3 or A100) has 91 individual tonewheels spinning constantly, creating the fundamental tones for every note on the keyboards. Blue3 recreates them all with all of their lovely imperfections. But as you know, every vintage organ sounds just a little different because of age and wear & tear, so Blue3 goes a step further and gives you the tonewheel sets from 30 different actual organs including A100s, B3s, C3s and a few L100s. Pick your favorite set. Blue3 even let you create your own 3 custom tonewheel sets as well.

Imperfections - We love imperfections! Blue3 lets you dial in just how much character you want. Turn up the crosstalk, flutter and leakage and your instrument will sound like a beast that's been on the road for 30 years. Turn them all down and it will sound like it just left the factory floor. It's your choice.

Key contacts - Every time you play a key on a real vintage organ, 9 metal key contacts touch at slightly different times to create that click sound that many players love. It's based on how fast you play, the drawbar settings and several other factors. Blue3 recreates this circuitry that's a huge part of the instrument's authentic sound. Sprinkle in to taste.

Smokin' tubes - If you prefer your organ with some overdrive, Blue3 has you covered. 3 separate simulations of the classic 40 watt amplifier contained in a 122/147 rotary speaker gives you anything from a little warmth, to something crunchier, and all the way to the well known "frying eggs" sound. Why 3 versions? Because different tube sets result in slightly different characteristics. We've arranged them in order of increasing "edge". We've also included a High Gain setting that simulates a well-known British guitar amplifier prized for it's ton of gain and distortion, more suited to Steppenwolf and Jon Lord types of sounds. Yeah, baby.

Round and round it goes - Blue3, of course, comes with a glorious simulation of the classic 122 & 147 rotary speakers, but we've taken that a step further with a custom "high power" version that simulates a hot-rodded rotary cabinet that was previously only available to top touring pros. While very similar to the classic, it has a sound all it's own. For something a little different, check out the RA200 cabinet. Based on a rare cabinet, it's a unique take on a rotary speaker with 3 spinning treble speakers and 2-15" woofers. And if you're not into the rotary sound, Blue3 also comes with a simulation of a British guitar amp cabinet with 4 - 12" speakers. You can also remove the diffusers from the top horn for a brighter, more pulsing kind of sound. And we didn't forget to give you the option to stop the rotors in front, or give you the Memphis sound by disconnecting the bottom rotor motor. And again, players can be pretty picky so Blue3 goes out of the way to give you as much control as you want, including slow/fast speeds and speed up/down times for the top and bottom rotor and more. Every engineer has his special way of micing a rotary and Blue3 has every option covered. Close mic it for an intense and pulsing sound, or further away for something much smoother. Spread them out for a dreamy stereo spread or close together for a mono output. And Blue3 lets you choose between dynamic and condenser mics separately for the horn and bass rotors.
